The Load Binders available at Northern Strands can accommodate Gr 70 Transport Chain.. Northern Strands offers Ratchet Load Binders with a fold down handle.
There are many advantages of a folding handling on Load Binders. The folding handle keeps the mechanism out of the way after the load is secure. The user is able to quickly secure the load and move the handle out of the way to prevent it from catching on any materials. The folding handle also eliminates any protrusion from the side of the truck.
Along with Load Binders, Northern Strands has a variety of load secure products. This includes Grade 70 Transport Chain, Grade 70 Grab and Slip Hooks, and Ratchet and Lever Style Load Binders.

The Northern Strands Suspended Access team recently completed Outrigger Davit work at the Cory mine head frame. The Outrigger Davit was extended 10 feet high with 8 feet of reach to reach up and over a 52" parapet wall and ground obstruction. The system was rigged up in 5 days. Northern Strands is one of only a handful of companies in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba to have specialized suspended access equipment on hand and ready to go.
The Outrigger Davit allows for easy clearance over tall parapets while the beam and counterweights are at a safe rooftop level.
Rather than using the Rolling Outrigger Northern Strands set up a 10 foot high by 8 foot outreach Outrigger Davit for Swing Stage Suspension Systems.

Northern Strands logging tie downs are made of synthetic Dyneema Rope spliced with grade 70 chain and a grab hook on the end. Our tie downs are double tagged with a working load limit of 3800lbs . We place one tag on the rope and another on the chain There are many benefits to using synthetic rope in place of wire rope for logging tie downs. When a synthetic rope tie down is used in place of wire rope it makes the tie down easier to throw, which helps to reduce rotator cuff injuries and overall worker fatigue. Synthetic rope is not affected by the chemicals oil/gas containers in logging. A special coating protects the rope from the sun’s ultraviolet light degradation. Dyneema rope also has a low coefficient of friction, is resistant to abrasion, and most importantly, does not produce jaggers (the broken wires of steel rope that produce painful puncture wounds). Synthetic rope will not kink, curl, or splinter!
At Northern Strands we carry various diameters and strengths Dyneema rope depending on usage.
Other 12-strand Dyneema Rope Uses Include: Winch Line, Anchor Line, Dock/Mooring Line, Tow Rope, Lanyards, Hand Lines, Hoisting Ropes, Slings, Climbing Rope, Utility Rope.
